Student Welfare

Student Welfare:

As a school we are committed to promoting and supporting positive well being and mental health.

Our commitment to building relationships, inspiring success, means our staff adopt a relational approach when dealing with children, leading to respectful interactions and modelling of

Over the last few years in particular we have increased our capacity to offer interventions for a wide range of issues and are currently working towards the Carnegie Centre of Excellence in Schools Mental Health in Schools Award.

We are working with Mind Tynside and Northumberland to support and educate parents in their understanding of young people’s mental health and the factors that impact it.
