“Don’t put too much pressure on yourself“

Where am I now? I have just completed a Masters Degree in Shakespeare Studies at the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-Upon-Avon, and I currently work at the Royal Shakespeare Company.

What previous occupations have I had? I had a few part time jobs at Uni and worked at Alnwick Castle for 2 and half years before I started doing my Masters.

What were your favourite subjects and memories? English and Drama were my favourite subjects, and I have great memories of doing the school musicals and being part of the choir(s).

What did you do after leaving DCHS? I went to York St John University where I gained a BA in English Literature.

What careers advice would you give a current student of DCHS now? Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to decide what you want to do. I am 25 and still don’t have a clue, but I’m hoping things will fall into place, and they will for you too!
