Sixth Form Enrichment & Services

(Subject to change during Covid 19 Pandemic)

Community Service

Community service is an excellent opportunity and we expect that Year 12 students spend at least 1 hour a week doing volunteering either within the school or in the wider community. Community Service will be launched in September of the first term. It would be useful to keep a record card.

Enrichment Activities

There are many exciting enrichment opportunities for you to get involved in – activities outside of normal lessons in the sixth form. It will be made clear to you if any of these are optional. It is vital that you gain experience of activities other than your studies if we are able to write you the best reference either for university or employment.

Such activities include:

Sporting Teams

Charity Events

Community Service

Drama Productions

Higher Education Conference

Orchestra & Choir

Peer Mentoring

Tutor Group Support

Subject Leader Support

Health & Wellbeing

Mental Health & Wellbeing is vital. Our Sixth Form has a student support service which offers guidance and advice on maintaining a healthy state of mind and promoting wellbeing, from 1-to-1 mentoring sessions, group work and referrals, to a range of services, including in-house counsellors. Assemblies and Tutor times also deliver information about keeping well and managing stress.
