This is an exciting vacancy that will allow a practitioner the ability to contribute to and be supported by a strong and successful large department in our school. The successful candidate will either be a newly qualified English teacher or equally someone with more experience, in any case, they will be passionate about their subject, and is committed to bringing out the best in our students. 

The department is a large, extremely friendly and supportive team who all share a passion for delivering high-quality English lessons as well as instilling a life-long love of reading and the written word within our students. We engage with subject-specific professional development, regular standardising to ensure confidence and consistency in applying mark schemes and enjoy professional discussions about the texts we teach as well as current pedagogy. We are also very keen to increase cross-curricular links as well as raise the profile of reading for pleasure within the school. 

You will be joining a school that has a vision to be an educational centre of excellence based on the principle that effective relationships are the key to positive outcomes.
