The Sixth form may use the computers in the Sixth Form Study Area, the Learning Resource Centre and any room in the school during their study time having gained permission from the relevant teacher. In addition we also have a number of laptops available for use from the Sixth Form Office. The Atrium will also be available for non-timetabled independent study periods.
Chromebooks are being investigated for all students to buy, to be able to use throughout school.
The Sixth Form Study Area
This room is for the whole of the Sixth Form. It needs to be respected as a facility. You are expected to work in this room during timetabled study periods, and can use the room to relax and socialise at break and or lunchtimes. It should have an adult and productive atmosphere. Please help to maintain this by acting in a mature way, recognising where food is consumed and keeping the room tidy.
The Learning Resource Centre (LRC)
The LRC is open for Sixth Form use when available.
The open Atrium has seating throughout the day. These can be used by sixth form for a relaxing chat, whilst hopefully accessing the serving facilities or vending machines for refreshment. Once again you are expected to act in a mature way in this area as it has open access for the whole school, therefore appropriate behaviour is required.
We expect students to also be working in this area. It is also the first contact any guests will have with students and we want it to be a positive one. You are expected to be acting as role models for the Lower School.
THE ATRIUM IS A NO PHONE ZONE
