Consultation Days

Consultation Days were first introduced into the calendar in 2006/7. We run two days (one in October and one in March) when parents are invited in to talk to their child’s tutor for 20 minutes. They are a real opportunity to spend time with the tutor and have a detailed conversation about how well their child is progressing.

Academic and pastoral data is supplied to make sure that a really productive meeting takes place. Because all years have a consultation day together it makes the school a hive of activity. The evaluations from parents have been extremely positive and attendance on these days has far outstripped those of traditional subject parents evenings.

We do not envisage Consultation Days replacing parent’s evenings but they will add to the very positive dialogue that we wish to have with all parents in the school.
