Childcare

The Duchess’s Community High School has no on-site childcare facilities, however our multi-agency Extended Services Partnership Committee aims to ensure that developing provision of childcare in our locaility is “joined up”.

We have worked with SureStart and our local Children’s Centres to develop provision. New Children’s Centre provision has opened on St Michaels First School and Alnwick South First School sites. Support has been given by SureStart to improve childcare facilities at Alnwick Community Centre.

These developments are complimentary to private sector provision and ensure that a range of excellent childcare is available within Alnwick to which we can signpost any enquiries which we receive.
