Uniformed Services

NCFE Level 1 and Level 2.

The course is portfolio based and comprises of: for Level 1 seven units completed over two years and for level 2 eight units over one year. The course will give you hands-on learning experience and firsthand knowledge of the uniformed services. The course team, with its professional experience of working in the uniformed services, offers excellent, practical work related tuition, complemented by interesting visits and presentations from visiting speakers.

Students are encouraged to take control of their own learning, through a supportive, encouraging, adult environment. Every student is given the opportunity to reach the required standard of physical fitness to increase their chances in the highly competitive entry system for the services. Above all, students find out from the services themselves about the attitudes and aptitudes that they need. Past students have attended recruitment residentials with the Royal Navy at Faslane and have gained entry into the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy.

We have established excellent relationships with the services and they are generous in the time and help they give us. We have had visits to the Fire Service, Police, the Army at Albermarle, RAF Boulmer and the Royal Marines at RMR Tyne. Speakers from the services are regular visitors and have given invaluable help and advice to students.
