The Personal Development Department

Personal Development is a combined course intended to develop students knowledge and encourage personal growth.
Our philosophy is to put the students’ needs first and develop the curriculum to meet these needs.

The curriculum areas which are contained within this programme of study are:
Personal, Social and Health Education,
Citizenship,
Careers Education and Guidance,
Work Related Learning
Enterprise.

What's On Offer?

Exam Course
Our Current Exam Course is the AQA Preparation for working life examination which provides a half GCSE equivalent qualification. All students are entered for the examination and so far we have been pleased with the results. Last year 79.37% of Students achieved the Level 2, which is the highest level available.

Extra Curricular
In addition to the taught program the department also runs the school philosophy club, which has hosted guests from around the world.
