The Social Science Department

Social Science is a dynamic, forward-thinking and relatively new department which has high expectations of everyone.

It has become an extremely popular subject choice and there are currently over 115 students studying Psychology and/or Sociology at AS and A2 level. In 2006 100% pass rate was achieved in Psychology and Sociology at A-Level. It is expected that students will be able to take part in a range of extra curricular activities e.g. visits from eminent psychologists, trips to conferences, etc in order to support their studies.

What’s on offer?

Psychology is the scientific study of mind and behaviour.
Sociology is the study of society and of people and their behaviour.
